Designing

Creating a successful outdoor space begins with careful planning and design. Our design team will map out the existing site and develop a conceptual plan that sets the vision for your project. Once the concept is in place, we will provide detailed three-dimensional renderings that truly bring these concepts to life. And, for projects needing a building permit, being licensed and insured enables us to prepare and submit all necessary documents for a seamless experience.

Building

With plans and agreements in place, it is now time to break ground and bring the abstract into reality. As the project is being built, we regularly communicate with you about the process. This includes not only scheduling and logistics but can also include full scale mock-ups of walls and other components that are being built. The idea is to create a space that not only functions well but also reflects your style and aesthetics.

Planting

Plants are the heart and soul of any landscape design. They bring color, texture, and life to your outdoor space, creating an environment that is not only engaging but also manageable and sustainable. We start with creating a palette of plants that align with your preferences for color and texture while at the same time considering your microclimate and site conditions, such as deer and steep slopes. We then source these plants, prepare the soil and plant while at the same time installing an irrigation system that incorporates the best design and technology for an efficient water delivery system.

David and his team at Indian Rock have done three projects for me, ranging in size from small to very large. The work has included building several hundred feet of dry stack walls, other retaining walls, hundreds of feet of redwood fencing, complicated gates, and flagstone and other paths, as well as some planting, replacement of soil, irrigation, and placement of aesthetic boulders and small rocks.
